Durand Tractor: A Passion for Vintage Machines

Durand Tractor began as a personal hobby, driven by a passion for restoring and working on vintage garden tractors and outdoor power equipment. Over time, that passion grew into something more, leading me to become a authorized distributor of  Toro, Oregon, Masport, and more.

  Collectible die-cast toy tractors became a time-consuming part of Durand Tractor. The demand for NIB vintage toy farm tractors is high. The reality is that toy tractors can bring in more money than real ones, with much less hassle. 

 Durand Tractor maintains a large library of FREE service manuals and documentation for rare vintage lawn and garden equipment 

 I also began manufacturing reproduction parts and accessories for garden and compact tractors. Designing and producing specialized components aligns with my expertise in manufacturing and metalworking. 

 Durand Tractor has been a fun and rewarding chapter, but it’s time to turn the page.   What began as a hobby turned into a business, and while it’s been a great experience, my heart is pulling me back to where it all started, restoring and collecting vintage tractors just for the love of it.  There’s something therapeutic about bringing an old machine back to life,  no rush to finish, just the joy of the process.  Besides, I have some ideas for other endeavors I might want to pursue, and I’m excited to see where they take me. 

 The knowledge and stories gathered along the way won’t be lost—I’m making sure of that. The literature and shared insights will remain accessible for anyone who finds value in them.  I also have a business partner in Durand Tractor who has a say in the company’s future, so there are still some moving pieces to figure out.
