Black Sheep Ridge, better known as BSR, was purchased just as the world was winding down after the pandemic. After spending the last couple of years full-timing in the RV, mainly for work, we needed a home base, a place to park, reset, and give the kids a sense of home as remote learning was ending and returning to school became part of life again.
I envisioned creating my family’s dream home on this property in Tennessee. But as the project unfolded, it became so much more. It transformed into a place to experiment, a place to spend time as a family, and an opportunity to teach, dream, and grow together. This was a real adventure!
I've got a lot of memories, stories, and helpful tips for anyone looking to do a project like this themselves. Check back often — it's going to take time to fill in the blanks and share my experiences. Everything you get from me is real, no exaggeration or untruths here. This website is all about my experiences and sharing my knowledge while being as genuine as possible.
With all that said, we don't own this property anymore. I'll be updating this at least once a month, so check back to find out why, what happened and any regrets we have.

Here’s a look back at the beginning of Black Sheep Ridge! From raw land we installed power, water, septic, fencing, a long gravel driveway, and much more.
